Restaurant Industry after COVID

Marketing  is the the best plate to serve at your restaurant, yet in these days a flyer or an ordinary marketing strategy alone will not bring business to your restaurant.

The “New Normal” has revolutionized how we conduct  business. If you feel your business is still not picking up please consider the items below.

  1. Do you have a platform where your users can place orders online?
Taking your orders over the phone does not commit to a sale, you have to prepare the meal and trust that the customer will come in to pay you and pick it up.  Remember a customer can cancel the order at any time, leaving you with losses. Phone orders also open the door for human error which will also hurt your revenue.
Orders processed online sercures the completion of the transaction and the payment will be rendered before you begin making your food.
  2. Do your clients have access to your menu online?
Even if you are not processing orders online, it is vital that your customers have access to your menu.  Flyers and mailers are easily lost, and clients are more likely to order from a restaurant for which they don’t have to hunt for a menu in the “junk drawer”.
  3. Can your customers place an order online when dining in?
Planning for the new 25% guidelines for dinning in will give you a HUGE edge because you are giving your customers the ability to order prior to arriving for dine in, minimizing social contact while giving you the opportunity to plan your seating ahead.
  4. Did you update your hours of operation on all your platforms? (Yelp, Social Media, Google Maps etc…)
When your customers look online to find your number, chances are that they will be directed to Yelp or any social media.  Updating your new hours of operation and menu on your website is not enough.  You must go to all these platforms and make the update.
  5. Do you have a delivery service?
There are plenty of delivery services available such as DoorDash or UberEats.  Do not limit your customers to only pick up.  Engage on one of this platforms and expand your reach

All of the items listed used to be a “nice to have”, but are now essentials to adhere to the “new norm”.
